Australian Old Vine Wine have been producing "Clean Green" quality Australian wine grapes of the highest standard for over 20 years. Our philosophy is that sustainable viticulture practices maintain vineyard health and soil nutrition. Using a combination of minimal watering, mulching and the use of organic fertilizer and organic sprays to achieve this.
Mulching of the natural grasses that grows between the vines break down and creates natural organic matter that encourages earthworms.

This is beneficial as earthworm castings aid in the moving of nutrients from deep in the soil to the root-zone where the vines have access to them. Mulch insulates the ground from the suns rays and aids in the retention of moisture. To lower our carbon footprint at harvest time, we hand pick our grapes. This method is kind both to the environment and our vines.
Elio and Marie firmly believe that their eco-friendly practices allow the low yielding old vines to produce fruit with intense varietal flavours.
